Aqua Products EVO™ 604 Robotic Pool Vacuum Cleaner Frequently asked questions

Oh no! Sounds like you may have a few kinks in your cable, but we can help. Remove your cleaner from the pool then straighten the cable along the ground and let it sit for a few minutes while you go enjoy a refreshing beverage (you deserve it, tangling cables can be very stressful). Once the cable has “relaxed”, all the kinks will be worked out. Now go to the center of the length of your pool and put your cleaner into the pool. Be sure to only use enough cable to reach the farthest point of your pool from where you’re standing. Then, gently toss the necessary cable across the pool water so that it’s evenly distributed. All that’s left is to turn your cleaner on. Now it’s your turn to lay down and relax.

You don’t have to be an olympic power lifter to remove your pool cleaner. All of the water inside evacuates as you lift it out of the water, so just hang tight for a sec and let the water run free. Then you can simply lift the cleaner from the pool yourself.

Your pool cleaner brushes do a lot of hard work. To maintain cleaner performance at its best, replace the brushes as soon as the rubber is worn down to the top of the wear indicator.

Your cleaner likes the sun (definitely not as much as you), but it needs plenty of shade and protection when it’s not cleaning your pool. So when your cleaner is not in use, store it in a dry place out of direct sunlight. Disconnect your pool cleaner from the power source, then remove all twists and tangles from the cable. Loosely coil the cable into a loop for storage, like on the optional caddy hook.

Everything that works hard needs a good cleaning, right? Every so often, you should clean the debris basket to keep the cleaning performance at its best. How do you do this? First, remove the pool cleaner from the water and let the remaining water drain. Unlatch the cleaner cover to access the basket and remove the debris basket from the body. Empty all debris from the basket, then rinse the basket and the pool cleaner using a hose. Easy, peasy!

Think of it like this. Let’s say you’ve been swimming in the pool for hours, it’s a good idea to have a proper rinse afterwards, right? Same thing goes for your pool cleaner (granted, it has much tougher ‘skin’ than you do). If you give your Aqua Products Evo 604 Robotic Pool Cleaner a good rinsing after you use it, chemicals should not harm your pool cleaner. Yet in the long term, constantly leaving it in chlorine or chemically treated water will definitely shorten the lifespan of your pool cleaner. was designed to be used over and over and over. Simply remove the debris basket, shake out the debris and spray clean after each use.

To put it this way, you could...but should you? Let’s just not go there, ok?

Well, technically you can, but it’s definitely not good for the mechanics of your pool cleaner. When not in use, remove your cleaner from the pool and store it away from sunlight. In the long term, leaving your pool cleaner in the water will shorten the lifespan of your automatic pool cleaner.
